It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, published by Ubisoft, and published in 2008. The Wii edition of this game, Shaun White Snowboarding Pc: Road Trip, was created from the ground up for the system, taking full advantage of this Wii Balance Board accessory and featuring its own unique story and experience with Shaun White. Each mountain features up to three unique sections: peak, back country and playground (or hotel). There’s also a “Target Limited Edition” of the game that is exclusive to the merchant; this edition gives the player access to Target Mountain, an exclusive mountain with Goal branding all over it, that has been described in-game as incredibly tricky to discover, and contains additional jibs, character models, and a sponsored version of the typical game’s best snowboard that may be unlocked prior to the player’s final challenge against Shaun White. The final mountain is set in British Columbia and is named B.C.. The mountain is only available from the “Mile-High Pack” paid downloadable content. While gamers progress through the game, they’ll earn skills that will assist them through the game. A few of the abilities consist of gaining high rates or the capacity to break through barriers to progress farther in the game.

The growth of the snowboarding genre was a slow one. With each generation the mountains become more receptive; the player given more independence. Back in the day we’re on narrow, mostly linear paths. Now we are getting dropped by helicopter on peak of the world, with some of possible runs spread out before us like some sort of all-you-can-eat ski buffet. Shaun White Snowboarding Pc (SWS) is the next logical extension of this genre, innovating in several of peripheral areas to produce a more rounded, believable snowboarding experience. The heart of the game is very much what you would expect. The typical collection of capabilities are represented — backflips, spins, grabs and jibs, and you also can shifty, tweak butter and catches. There are quite a few different kinds of assignments, each requiring different skill sets. Take the points-based struggles, as an example. Where the vanilla one permits you to rack up points any way you prefer, others only count points from ground-based hints or air-based tricks. Then there are missions that pit you against awesome trick parks, while others only provide you with a mountain peak and heroic natural jumps.

You will also spend a whole lot of time collecting coins. Really. At the beginning of the game, three gigantic Euro icons are scattered around every mountain. Unlike the other assignments, they are not marked on your map, so it is up to you to explore the mountains, using your radar to see them. Collect all of them and Shaun will provide you a new ability… and then put another set of jewels across the mountains. Collect those and you will find another new ability.

Shaun White Snowboarding Pc is a small mixed bag in terms of its presentation. It is not a bad-looking game, but the single most important facet of any snowboarding title just does not look right, and that is the onboard animations. To put it simply, your boarder’s movement is too twitchy and too robotic — it does not have the feeling of grace and weight that it should. You will get used to it, and the mechanisms work well enough, but it is disappointing nonetheless. In other areas it is pretty solid. We also loved lots of the nonessential animations, like the crab walk along with your personality throwing his board down and strapping in. If just the boarding animations were that slick!
